Mullings Named 2015-16 UAA Athlete of the Year

Coming off the most successful season ever in UAA Women's Basketball history, Megan Mullings has been named the 2015-16 UAA Athlete of the Year.

Mullings is just the 4th women's basketball player to earn the honor.

The 6ft forward lead UAA in scoring (15.9 ppg), rebounds (6.3 ppg) and shots blocked (1.6 bpg). Mullings helped the Seawolves to a runner-up finish at the Division II National Championship and set a DII record with 38 victories.

Mullings posted the second best shooting percentage in the country at .617, earning her the honors of 3rd Team All-America, GNAC Player of the Year and All-GNAC 1st Team.

The senior also set UAA single-season records for points (635), field goals (246) and the career record for field goal percentage (.612).
