Fireballs and Auroras!

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) -

Thanks to our viewers, we have a host of spring photos, and a couple of videos of a fireball that streaked across southcentral, Alaska Thursday, April 24th, 2025.

We are referring to it as a fireball because it was an especially bright meteor in order to be seen during the day. That is pretty impressive and does provide some dashcam drama to the morning drive!

Check out the more beautiful side of the spring thaw, to auroral curtains across a still dark enough horizon to be seen in full glory!

These are all good examples of the news and information we have at Alaska’s News Source, alaskasnewssource.com. Also available on our free streaming platforms like Amazon Fire, Apple TV and ROKU.
