UPDATE: Police call Monday night shooting a 'targeted drug-related event'

Anchorage police are still looking for two suspects involved in the Monday night shooting, however they say charges have not been filed to date.
Renee Oistad, a spokesperson for the Anchorage Police Department, said in an email that "no charges have been filed therefore we have no further suspect information" to release regarding the suspect's identities.
Police confirmed that the victim was shot in the leg, a wound which they described as non-life threatening. The victim has not been identified either.
Though the names of those involved in the Government Hill shooting have not been released, authorities said Tuesday that the shooting was not random, and seems to have ties to drugs.
"Initial indications are that this was a targeted drug-related event," Oistad wrote.
Anchorage Police are responding after a person was shot in the Government Hill neighborhood Monday night.
Sgt. Dawn Neer says officers arrived to the parking lot of the Subway restaurant on East Loop Road at about 8:00 Monday night.
"We learned that a male got shot by one male. There are two suspects involved that are still outstanding," says Sgt. Neer.
Sgt. Neer also tells KTUU that the injuries to the male victim do not appear to be life threatening. The man was taken to the hospital.
APD is still investigating what led to the "assault with a weapon."
