Peggy McCormack

Peggy was born in and grew up in the remote town of Nome, Alaska. Wanting to see more of the world than Alaska, she attended Colorado State University for her first two years of college, then transferred to the University of Alaska Anchorage to finish her degree in journalism.

While she working on her degree, KTUU hired Peggy as a Chyron operator in 1992. Since then, she has done nearly every job behind the camera, from tape operator to technical director, to producer, and is currently the afternoon video editor, editing for the noon, 4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. shows. During her off hours, Peggy enjoys various hobbies, but most of all, spending time with her family exploring Alaska, hiking, berry picking, or even just a quiet evening at home.
